Rover: Prototype Mk1 - Motor selection
Selecting a suitable motor for rover especially for such environment may be hard to start off. Therefore,i researched on information such as traction effort, engine power for car, rolling resistance etc.
Traction effort is the effort or force between the car wheel and the surface of the ground
Based by research, the force of traction effort is EQUAL to the total force which consist of rolling resistance, gradient resistance and aerodynamic drag resistance.
For the rover, aerodynamic drag resistance is not necessary as it will be moving around an average human walking speed, which is 5km/h.
