Parachute mechanism I: The Safe Drones

There are two ways on going about making these type of mechanism, the first involves putting a compression coil that has the diameter large enough to touch the edges of the inner can or to have the spring outfitted outside the mechanism.

In both cases, the materials used were:

1 x Grinded off airhorn canister (with all the air released)

1 x Metal latch to hold the cover and the canister

1 x Acrylic Lid or any other material that covers the top

One version has a spring inside, while the other version has a modified desolder pump which is outfitted at the bottom and deploys when the servo pushes the desolder button.

The launcher will launch the parachute when a servo motor at the lid is activated, allowing the parachute to be deployed outwards and away from the drone.
